Psalm 106:38-40

³⁸ And shed ^(A)innocent blood,
The blood of their ^(B)sons and their daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was ^(C)polluted with the blood.
³⁹ Thus they became ^(D)unclean in their ^[a]practices,
And ^(E)played the harlot in their deeds.

⁴⁰ Therefore the ^(F)anger of the Lord was kindled against His people
And He ^(G)abhorred His ^[b](H)inheritance.
